As the Mighty Lions prepare for this week’s WCAC Championship Meet to be held on Thursday(19th) and Saturday(21st)…there are a few names to look out for. The girls team, led by Kiah Seymour are primed and ready to score the most points the Carroll Womens’ program has seen in the past few years. With Seymour entering the meet standings with the top seed in both the 400m and 200m and teammate Jade Woodridge in scoring position in both the 200m and Long Jump the Lady Lions are ready to compete and make their presence felt at this year’s championships. Look out for the Lady Lions toalso be among the top finishers in the 4×100 relay to be run on Saturday.
The Men’s team is lead by a cast of talented seniors, Milan Edgerton (1600m and 800m), Joshua Booze (110H and 300H) and multi-sport sprinter Julien Boone who is a dark horse with the potential to score in both the 100m and 200m as well as contribute to strong finishes for the Lions in both the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.
It will be an exciting two days full of intense competition as the Lady Lions go head to head with Bishop McNamara and Elizabeth Seton while the men battle the powerhouses of Dematha and Gonzaga.
